    Really dislike the trip mechanism. A squirrel got traped in mine and was able to bend and damage the trip mechanism easily

  2. Won't Hold a Chipmunk w/o Modification

    JJG –

    Once the trap shuts, chipmunks can push the door open from the inside and escape. By simply inserting a stiff/thin wire (or some other material) across the top of the door that swings down, the wire will drop down in front of the door creating a kind of barricade that won’t allow the door to open until it is removed. Hard to describe. The pictures should help. Finally, once trapped, relocate ASAP because chipmunks can/will chew through the cage.
