Insert the probe into the soil for a few minutes.
Plug and play, DO NOT leave the meter in the soil for a long time, it will be corroded.

For what it costs. It seems accurate enough with pH and moisture. Definitely easy to use and read. The light dial is kind of useless. It maxes out before it can read the recommended lux for most plants. It basically just knows if it’s light or dark.

This product is a simple, but effective tool. I bought it for the ability to measure soul moisture and pH. I thought I was overwatering some plants, and with this I could easily tell I was. I also wanted to measure the pH to ensure I was planting in the right conditions. The pH and moisture changed depending on location (indoor plants vs garden). It does take a little while for it to settle on the pH (less than a minute). I’m fairly impressed and it definitely satisfies the analytical chemist in me.

Unit does not show moving dial when testing soil ph. Is there a way to check that the unit is functional? Reading in soil and out of soil is same

Please kindly noted that It’s only for test soil pH value, not applicable for other liquids, and the default value is set at between 7-8, be sure that you switch the button to pH when you use it.

great way to figure out how muck to water your plants. It just pokes into the dirt and in seconds will give you an easy to read showing of how well you are doing with your watering. Too wet or too dry… Best thing to have to keep from killing plants ;o)>

Love this meter. I wasn’t sure it would really work. However, I did a soil test the old way and then with the meter and “dang” it worked. So I decided to write this review to help other unsure. The water meter was a obvious one to check accuracy and it too was accurate. I would highly recommend.

Turns out every plant cannot tolerate once a week watering. This has helped me to give each plant the correct amount of water. I just insert into pot and the dry/moist/wet reading is very quickly shown. Haven’t tried the light or ph readings yet. My plants usually dieback in winter but this year they are out growing my plant shelf!

Love that it’s 3 in 1. I mainly use it to check the moisture in the soil. Easy to use. It has helped me not over water my plants. The light and ph meter work, but not sure on their accuracy. I’ll update the review if I get a chance to really test those at a later date. All in all I’m happy with this purchase. I’m going to order one for my mother-in-law.
