I use a regular pencil to write plant information on these tags. The writing is waterproof, no smudging, no fading. I can also use an eraser on the tags without damaging them. The only downside is that the 4-inch tags are about an inch shorter than standard plant tags.

I wanted inexpensive plant labels for plants I share with friends. These labels are perfect for that purpose. I’ve only had them a short time so I can’t speak to their durability. They are a little shorter than 4” but that has worked out okay. I’m writing on them with a china marker (grease pencil) and time will tell if that will last through the summer or even the winter.
